About the Role

As a US/UK Tax Manager, you will oversee a varied and technically interesting portfolio of clients with income and assets held in trusts and estates. You will combine hands-on client advisory work with team leadership responsibilities, helping to ensure both excellent service delivery and strong operational performance.

You will also contribute to the management of the wider team, supporting departmental planning, performance development, and the achievement of business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a comprehensive portfolio of US-connected clients

  • Advise on tax matters relating to trusts, estates, income, and assets

  • Lead day-to-day team activity and support departmental work planning

  • Provide line management and guidance to junior team members

  • Deliver appraisals and contribute to colleague development

  • Coach and mentor junior staff on:

  • Technical tax matters

  • Client relationship management

  • Professional development

  • Support operational success through active involvement in the wider team

  • Contribute directly to performance targets and business objectives


What We’re Looking For

We are seeking a technically strong and commercially aware professional who can combine tax expertise with people leadership. You will be confident managing a client portfolio, developing junior talent, and contributing to a collaborative and high-performing team culture.

Essential Requirements

  • Dual qualifications such as:

  • EA

  • ATT

  • CTA

  • STEP

  • Strong experience in US/UK tax

  • Ability to manage client relationships with professionalism and confidence

  • Experience supervising, mentoring, or managing junior team members

Additional Consideration

  • Exceptional candidates who are qualified in either the US or the UK may also be considered
