The Opportunity

Arch is seeking a talented tax professional to join its International Tax team in a newly created role supporting a wide range of tax matters across the EMEA region.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants broad international tax exposure, including work across:

  • Mergers & Acquisitions

  • Business restructurings

  • Transfer pricing

  • Tax controversy

  • Strategic tax projects

  • Direct tax compliance

  • US GAAP tax reporting

The role offers hands-on involvement in complex and high-impact tax matters within a fast-moving international business. It would suit someone who is curious, proactive, commercially aware, and solutions-focused, with the judgment to know when to act independently and when to seek guidance.


What You’ll Be Doing

As part of the International Tax team, you will contribute across a diverse portfolio of tax activities, partnering with colleagues across multiple jurisdictions and business functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support international tax projects such as:

  • Business expansion initiatives

  • Corporate restructurings

  • Mergers and acquisitions

  • Provide tax input on:

  • International contracts

  • Business transactions

  • Strategic commercial initiatives

  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of:

  • Local jurisdictional tax changes

  • Regional developments

  • Global tax reform

  • Manage and respond to tax authority enquiries and interventions across different territories

  • Assist with the preparation of transfer pricing documentation and related analysis

  • Work closely with internal teams including:

  • Finance

  • Legal

  • HR

  • Treasury

  • Wider business units

  • Build strong working relationships with both internal stakeholders and external contacts, including tax authorities

  • Provide practical and clear tax advice to senior stakeholders across the business

  • Support the preparation and review of the company’s income tax provision for selected jurisdictions under:

  • US GAAP

  • Local GAAP

  • Oversee and manage direct tax filings and payment obligations in relevant jurisdictions


What We’re Looking For

We are looking for a tax professional who enjoys tackling complex challenges, balancing multiple priorities, and working collaboratively in an international environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in one of the following:

  • Accounting

  • Economics

  • Finance

  • Law

  • Professional qualification such as:

  • CPA

  • CA

  • CTA

  • or equivalent

Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years’ tax experience gained in:

  • Industry

  • and/or a public accounting firm

  • Insurance industry experience is beneficial, but not required

  • Familiarity with tax reporting under U.S. GAAP and/or IFRS is desirable, though not essential

  • While this is primarily a direct tax role, the ability to identify potential:

  • Indirect tax issues

  • Employee tax matters
    is important given the scope of the position

Skills & Attributes

  • Strong ability to research and interpret tax law in a commercial context

  • Proven project management capability

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Comfortable working:

  • independently

  • and as part of a cross-functional team

  • Strong problem-solving and prioritisation skills

  • Able to perform effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

  • Resourceful, proactive, and confident collaborating across multiple jurisdictions
