Senior Tax Manager
Join Unity’s Global Tax Team
Unity is looking for an accomplished Senior Tax Manager to join our global tax organization and make a meaningful impact across the business. In this role, you will report to the Senior Director, Global Tax and take ownership of key direct and indirect tax operations across the EMEA region.
This is an exciting opportunity for a tax professional who thrives in a dynamic, international environment and is passionate about compliance, tax reporting, process optimization, automation, and strategic tax support.
About the Role
As Senior Tax Manager, you will lead core tax activities across EMEA, ensuring operational excellence while partnering closely with the wider global tax and finance teams. You will play a critical part in strengthening tax processes, supporting audits and controversy matters, and helping drive scalable, standardized solutions across the region.
Key Responsibilities
In this position, you will be responsible for a broad range of tax leadership activities, including:
Managing and reviewing tax compliance activities across EMEA, including:
VAT
Corporate income tax (CIT)
Other recurring tax filings and reporting requirements for regional entities
Preparing and reviewing US GAAP tax provision calculations, including:
Entity-level tax provisions
ASC 450
FIN 48
Support for local accounting close activities
Driving process improvement and innovation in EMEA tax operations by:
Identifying opportunities for greater efficiency
Working with the global tax and finance teams to implement standardized processes
Supporting automation and operational enhancements
Evaluating and implementing insourcing solutions where appropriate
Collaborating on strategic tax projects with the wider Unity tax team, including:
Pillar Two
R&D incentives
E-invoicing
Legal entity rationalization across the region
Providing strategic support on tax controversy matters, including:
Tax audits
Dispute resolution
Audit defense across multiple jurisdictions within EMEA
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking a tax leader with strong technical expertise, sound judgment, and the ability to influence across a global organization.
Required Qualifications
Degree in:
Economics
Accounting
Finance
Tax
or a related field
A professional qualification such as:
Chartered Accountant
Chartered Financial Analyst
Tax Advisor
or an equivalent certification
7+ years of experience in direct and indirect tax, gained within:
a Big 4 firm, and/or
a multinational company
2+ years of people management experience
Technical Expertise
Strong working knowledge of:
EMEA VAT and CIT rules
US GAAP tax accounting
Local statutory tax accounting requirements
Experience preparing or reviewing:
US GAAP tax provisions
Deferred tax positions
Background in:
Tax audits
Controversy management
Audit defense across multiple EMEA jurisdictions
Core Skills
Proven ability to:
Identify process inefficiencies
Implement practical improvements
Support or lead insourcing initiatives
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts clearly to non-tax stakeholders
