The Opportunity
Senior Accounting Leader / Head of Accounting Transformation
This is a true build role — not a steady-state maintenance position.
You will take ownership of creating n8n’s accounting and tax function from the ground up. That includes bringing accounting operations in-house, building robust multi-entity processes across Germany, the US, and the UK, leading an IFRS conversion, and helping implement a new ERP platform.
You’ll step into a high-impact position with visibility across senior leadership, the chance to shape a growing team, and the freedom to design a modern, AI-enabled accounting function ready to support rapid scale — and potentially, an IPO.
If you enjoy creating structure where little exists, designing systems from first principles, and building for the future rather than preserving the past, this role is built for you.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
1. Accounting Operations, Close & Consolidation
You will own the accounting function end-to-end, ensuring the business has reliable, scalable, and accurate financial operations.
Key responsibilities

Design a tax-efficient group structure for current and future expansion
Ensure compliance with:

Build internal controls aligned with:

3. Systems, Automation & Team Leadership

Help create a scalable, automation-first finance technology stack
Automate routine accounting activity such as:
Journal entries
Approvals
