About the Team
Warner Music’s **EMEA Shared Service Centre** provides essential financial, tax, and administrative support to our Recorded Music and Publishing operations across Europe.
Within this structure, the **Indirect Tax Team** is responsible for delivering tax compliance across the EMEA region for all business lines. As the business continues its transition to **SAP S/4HANA**, this team plays an important role in embedding robust tax processes into new systems, maintaining compliance, and improving data quality across multiple territories.
The Opportunity
This is a high-impact role supporting the **Senior Indirect Tax Manager** in evolving the indirect tax compliance function into a true **Centre of Excellence**.
You will help shape and implement best-in-class indirect tax and withholding tax processes, working closely with teams across Shared Services, local affiliates, labels, and the wider Group Tax function. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys improving processes, driving automation, building cross-functional relationships, and delivering valuable tax insight to the wider business.
What You’ll Be Doing
1. Lead Key Projects
Take ownership of important tax and process improvement initiatives.
Work collaboratively with tax and cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for efficiency and improvement.
Help embed practical, scalable solutions into day-to-day operations.
2. Support Team Growth
Partner with senior leadership to develop the capabilities of Tax Analysts.
Encourage accountability, engagement, and continuous learning within the team.
3. Drive Process Improvement and Automation
Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives across indirect tax operations.
Support the design, testing, and enhancement of tax engines, controls, and processes.
Explore opportunities to use AI and other technologies to improve efficiency and streamline workflows.
4. Strengthen Tax Governance
Maintain strong documentation and internal control standards across tax processes.
Recognise issues that require escalation and work with Group Tax on technical matters or disputes.
5. Deliver Insightful Reporting
Lead the development of indirect tax and withholding tax reporting that provides real business insight.
Identify trends, risks, and anomalies beyond standard system outputs.
Support informed decision-making through clear and meaningful analysis.
6. Build Strong Stakeholder Relationships
Partner with teams including:
Record to Report
Order to Cash
Accounts Payable
Collaborate with local finance teams, affiliates, and record labels to understand business changes that may affect tax compliance.
Communicate complex tax matters clearly to non-tax stakeholders and help build tax awareness across the organisation.
7. Own Indirect Tax Compliance
Develop and implement efficient, scalable, and automated processes for:
VAT
GST
WHT
Other relevant indirect taxes across EMEA
Ensure compliance processes align with the ongoing SAP S/4HANA rollout.
Oversee the timely and accurate preparation of VAT returns across the EMEA Indirect Tax compliance team, including review and delegation where appropriate.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for a tax professional who combines technical expertise with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
Essential Experience and Skills
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, tax, or a related discipline.
Experience in indirect tax, ideally within:
a multinational organisation, or
a professional services environment.
Around 5+ years of experience is preferred, though we are also open to high-potential candidates ready to take the next step.
Strong knowledge of indirect tax and withholding tax regulations across key EMEA territories such as:
UK
France
Italy
Ireland
Nordics
South Africa
Central and Eastern Europe
Experience working with SAP S/4HANA and tax engines such as ONESOURCE.
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical tax concepts to non-specialists.
A proactive and adaptable approach, with confidence working in a fast-moving environment.
Experience in process design, testing, and improvement.
Strong reconciliation, reporting, and analytical skills.
A detail-oriented mindset and commitment to high-quality delivery.
Experience working in a shared services environment or on cross-functional projects.
It Would Be Great If You Also Have
Fluency in English plus another European language such as:
French
German
Italian
Spanish
Experience creating and managing indirect tax compliance calendars and documenting tax processes.
Familiarity with XML log analysis and writing test scripts.
Knowledge of GAAP-to-tax adjustments and journal entries.

Working Arrangement
This role requires a minimum of **2 days per week in the office**. We believe in-person collaboration is essential for building strong relationships, supporting development, and driving effective teamwork.
