Senior Tax Manager – Corporate Tax Compliance & Reporting

Cantor Fitzgerald is seeking a highly capable Senior Tax Manager to join its EMEA & APAC Tax team in London. This is a hybrid opportunity suited to an experienced tax professional who thrives in a fast-moving international environment and is looking to expand their expertise across a complex global group.

This position sits within a dynamic regional tax team with responsibility across the UK, EMEA, and APAC. The successful candidate will bring a strong grounding in tax reporting, corporate tax compliance, accounting, current and deferred tax, and applicable GAAP principles.


The Opportunity

This role offers the chance to play a central part in managing corporate tax compliance and reporting across multiple jurisdictions within a highly complex and acquisitive organisation. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, external advisors, auditors, and finance teams across the globe, helping to ensure robust tax governance and high-quality reporting.

Key Responsibilities

As Senior Tax Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing corporate tax compliance and reporting obligations across the UK, EMEA, and APAC regions.

  • Managing the outsourced corporation tax return process, including the review of UK, EMEA, and APAC tax returns prior to submission.

  • Monitoring Effective Tax Rates (ETRs) and reporting to the US Tax team, including:

  • Proof of tax

  • Deferred tax substantiation

  • Quarterly tax provision support

  • Managing external providers in relation to statutory accounts tax disclosures and notes for the UK group.

  • Occasionally preparing tax disclosures for UK statutory accounts across the Cantor Fitzgerald group.

  • Overseeing the outsourced UK Capital Allowances and R&D Tax Credit claims process.

  • Reviewing monthly reconciliations of both current and deferred tax balances.

  • Supporting tax analysis relating to:

  • Reorganisations

  • Acquisitions

  • Disposals

  • Wider compliance matters across a complex structure of partnerships and companies

  • Liaising with HMRC, external auditors, advisors, CFOs, and management teams in the UK and overseas.

  • Taking responsibility for:

  • UK GPA

  • Group Deductions Allowance

  • Any associated filings

  • Maintaining and improving team processes, controls, and monitoring frameworks.

  • Contributing to UK Senior Accounting Officer and CCO certification requirements.

  • Managing the UK corporate tax payments process, including review of calculations.

  • Leading on group Pillar Two reporting obligations, partnering with UK, EMEA, and APAC financial controllers.

  • Managing reporting related to withholding taxes and associated reclaim processes.

  • Overseeing shared service centre resource in India.

  • Supporting on additional ad hoc tax projects as required.

Essential Experience & Qualifications

  • Proven experience in tax reporting

  • Strong experience dealing with external auditors, with the tact, diplomacy, and discretion this requires

  • Ability to resolve issues quickly and work effectively around challenges

  • Advanced Excel skills

  • Professional qualification such as:

  • ACA

  • ACCA

  • CTA

  • ATT

Technical & Professional Strengths

  • Strong understanding of:

  • Accounting principles

  • Current and deferred tax

  • Applicable GAAP standards

  • Ability to translate complex business requirements into practical, commercially sound solutions

  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities across a complex group structure

  • Strong analytical capability, including the ability to identify insights and present recommendations clearly

Desirable Experience

  • Experience within financial services, such as:

  • Banking

  • Brokerage

  • Private equity

  • US GAAP knowledge is beneficial, though not essential
