About the Team
BDO’s **Tax Accounting Group** is a national team of specialists focused on **tax accounting** and **tax audit** work. Led by an equity partner, the group offers an exciting and high-quality career path for professionals who want to deepen their expertise in this specialist area.
As part of this team, you will work on some of our largest and most prestigious assignments, gaining hands-on experience across a diverse client portfolio that includes:

The Opportunity
As an **Assistant Manager**, you will play an important role in delivering tax accounting and tax audit services to high-profile clients across multiple sectors.
This position offers broad exposure and the chance to work closely with experienced specialists, allowing you to build advanced technical knowledge while developing your client management and leadership skills.
In this role, you will:
Support delivery on large and complex audit engagements
Assist with tax reporting for non-audit clients
Prepare and review:
Tax consolidations
Tax accounting elements of GAAP conversions
Carve-out accounting
Acquisition accounting
Work directly with clients and technical specialists
Manage a portfolio of audit clients across multiple sectors
Build strong relationships with primary audit teams
Develop and apply project management skills to ensure timely delivery
Contribute to the development and training of junior team members

Who We’re Looking For
We welcome applications from professionals who are ready to take the next step in their career—whether you are a newly or recently qualified auditor looking to move into tax, or a tax professional seeking to specialise in tax reporting and the audit of tax.
You’ll be a strong fit if you have:
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in audit and/or tax within a Big Four or mid-tier firm
ACA and/or CTA qualification (or equivalent)
Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively
Experience coaching and supporting junior colleagues
Confidence in dealing directly with clients
A proactive approach to managing your own workload
Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate confidently with:
Senior Managers
Directors
Partners
Client stakeholders
