The Opportunity

As Corporate Tax Manager, you will oversee a portfolio of corporate tax compliance clients while working closely with directors, colleagues, and clients to deliver a high-quality and proactive tax service.

You will play an important role not only in compliance delivery, but also in advisory work, client relationship management, and the ongoing development of the corporate tax offering.

What You’ll Be Doing

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Managing a portfolio of corporate tax compliance clients

• Supporting directors and clients with restructuring advice

• Preparing tax provisions, including:

• deferred tax

• proof of tax

• tax accounting information for audits

• Collaborating with directors and the wider team to manage the compliance service effectively

• Travelling to other offices to work directly with clients and directors when required

• Building and maintaining strong, long-term client relationships

• Managing work in progress, debtors, fee raising, and supporting departmental budgets

• Responding to internal tax queries from other departments

• Identifying and implementing tax planning opportunities for clients

• Helping to grow and develop the corporate tax team

About You

We are looking for a confident and commercially minded tax professional who enjoys both technical work and client interaction.

To succeed in this role, you should have:

• CTA qualification

• At least 4 years’ experience within an accountancy practice

• A strong background in corporate tax compliance

• The ability to work independently while also contributing as part of a wider team

• A proactive, self-starting approach with the confidence to make an immediate impact

• The ability to provide advisory support across both the tax team and the wider business

• A commitment to continuous learning and development

The following would also be beneficial:

• Client-facing experience

• Budgeting or financial management experience
