Chevron | Global Finance Team | Buenos Aires

Chevron is seeking a Tax Analyst to join its Global Finance team in Buenos Aires. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled finance professional to contribute to a multinational organization, supporting tax compliance, reporting, and operational excellence across multiple jurisdictions.

In this role, you will help manage the company’s tax obligations, ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in a dynamic international environment.


About the Role

As a Tax Analyst, you will play an essential role in supporting Chevron’s tax operations by overseeing reporting processes, analyzing financial data, and ensuring compliance with applicable tax laws and internal controls.

This position is ideal for someone with a strong analytical background, hands-on experience in tax and accounting, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced global business setting.


Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for a broad range of tax, reporting, and compliance activities, including:

  • Preparing and supporting the filing of tax returns and tax-related reports

  • Managing tax determination processes for customer billing in line with applicable regulations

  • Performing complex account reconciliations and fluctuation analyses across:

  • Profit & Loss

  • Balance Sheet

  • Payments

  • Reviewing accounting data, inventory adjustments, and transactions for accurate tax reporting

  • Researching complex tax matters and liaising with tax authorities when necessary

  • Supporting internal and external audit processes

  • Maintaining and improving ERP and tax applications, as well as related databases

  • Partnering with business units to investigate discrepancies, resolve issues, and enhance compliance and efficiency


What We’re Looking For

To succeed in this role, candidates should bring a blend of technical expertise, business acumen, and strong collaboration skills.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in:

  • Accounting

  • Business

  • Finance

  • Tax

  • 5+ years of experience in:

  • Tax accounting

  • Finance

  • Audit

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and core business processes

  • Advanced English proficiency (written and spoken)

  • Experience with ERP and tax systems, with SAP considered a strong advantage

  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret and work with complex data

  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities

  • Proven success working in a collaborative, fast-paced, and global environment


Preferred Skills

The following experience will be highly valued:

  • Knowledge of U.S. tax and/or international direct and indirect taxation

  • Participation in system implementation or process improvement initiatives

  • Demonstrated coordination and leadership capabilities
