KPMG is looking for a talented and commercially minded Tax Manager to join its Global Mobility Services (GMS) team in London. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-evolving area of tax, supporting major international clients with complex cross-border workforce matters.

The Opportunity
As a Global Mobility Services Manager, you will play a central role in the delivery and coordination of client engagements. You will be trusted to lead day-to-day service delivery, provide high-quality technical advice, manage projects, and strengthen client relationships.
This role would suit someone who is confident, proactive, outward-facing, and motivated by working in a dynamic international environment. You should be comfortable balancing technical excellence with commercial awareness and relationship management.
What You’ll Be Doing
In this role, you will take ownership of a broad and varied portfolio of responsibilities, including:
Client Engagement & Service Delivery
Manage the day-to-day global coordination and/or UK service delivery of client engagements, depending on the portfolio.
Work closely with junior team members to ensure high standards of delivery and client service.
Oversee the delivery of UK tax compliance matters in collaboration with the KPMG Centre of Excellence.
Advisory & Technical Support
Advise clients on a range of cross-border mobility issues, including:
Tax
Social security
Policies and processes
Programme efficiencies
Provide clear and practical UK tax technical analysis and advice.
Support clients with current developments in global mobility and UK tax.
Project Management & Collaboration
Lead and coordinate advisory projects for clients from start to finish.
Work closely with internal specialists across:
International Social Security
Employment Tax
GMS Technology
Reward
Immigration
KPMG Member Firms globally
Deliver multidisciplinary solutions on complex international assignments and workforce matters.
VIP Assignee Support
Assist Engagement Leaders with VIP assignee services.
Conduct arrival and departure briefings for senior assignees.
Client Relationship Management
Build, develop, and maintain strong long-term client relationships.
Act as a trusted adviser and a visible point of contact for clients.
Team & Financial Management
Manage engagement finances with support from junior colleagues.
Coach, mentor, and support junior staff to help them grow and succeed.
What You’ll Bring
To succeed in this role, you will need strong technical grounding, excellent judgement, and the confidence to work directly with clients and internal stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
Experience
Extensive experience in expatriate tax or global mobility tax services within a Big 4 firm or a comparable environment.
Previous in-house experience within a Global Mobility or HR team, or experience working overseas, would be advantageous but is not essential.
Qualifications
- ACA / ATT / CTA qualified, or equivalent.
Technical & Systems Skills
Strong skills in:
Microsoft Excel
Microsoft PowerPoint
Microsoft Word
Experience with Microsoft Power BI for reporting would be beneficial, though it is not required.
