The Role
In this position, you will deliver high-quality Tax Advisory services while managing client relationships and contributing to the wider success of the team. You will work closely with colleagues across BDO, including senior managers, directors, and partners, to ensure clients receive a seamless and commercially valuable service.
You will also be encouraged to identify opportunities to strengthen our service offering, improve delivery, and provide additional support that meets evolving client needs.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the day-to-day delivery of services across a portfolio of clients
Build, develop, and maintain strong client relationships
Take ownership of portfolio management, including billings and cash collection in line with firm criteria
Act as the key employment tax contact for clients
Ensure high standards of quality, responsiveness, and risk management across all client work
Anticipate client requirements and respond promptly to requests
Keep clients informed on progress and maintain regular communication throughout engagements
Lead or contribute to complex tax projects with confidence and professionalism
Identify service enhancement opportunities and support the delivery of additional value to clients
Maintain awareness of risks and ensure compliance with the firm’s quality control procedures
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking a tax professional with strong technical capability, commercial awareness, and the confidence to lead client work in a proactive and collaborative way.
Skills and Experience
In-depth and current knowledge of taxation
Specialist expertise with the ability to handle complex tax matters
Proven experience managing a portfolio of clients
Strong background in leading day-to-day client matters
Experience building and managing client relationships with a focus on service quality
Ability to oversee billing and cash collection
Strong understanding of risk and quality control procedures
Demonstrated experience delivering complex projects
Qualifications
Educated to degree level, and/or
CTA, ACA, or equivalent professional qualification
