Locomo is seeking an accomplished and commercially minded Corporate Tax Manager (Practice) to join our growing team in the London Area. The Opportunity

As a Corporate Tax Manager, you will play a central role in delivering high-quality tax services to clients, ensuring both strategic value and full compliance with current legislation. You will take ownership of tax planning initiatives, oversee compliance and tax preparation processes, and provide expert guidance on evolving tax regulations.

This role also offers the chance to work closely with internal teams and clients, helping to shape effective tax strategies while mentoring junior colleagues and maintaining high service standards throughout.


Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for a broad range of corporate tax activities, including:

  • Leading corporate tax planning initiatives to help clients optimise tax efficiency

  • Managing tax compliance processes and ensuring all filings are completed accurately and on time

  • Reviewing and overseeing tax preparation work to maintain quality and compliance standards

  • Monitoring changes in tax legislation and regulations to ensure advice remains current and effective

  • Developing practical tax strategies that minimise liabilities while aligning with legal requirements

  • Providing guidance and support to junior team members, helping to build capability within the team

  • Working collaboratively with cross-functional colleagues and clients to deliver seamless tax solutions

  • Ensuring adherence to UK corporate tax legislation and best practice across all client work


What We’re Looking For

We are looking for a tax professional who combines technical expertise with strong leadership and client-facing skills. The ideal candidate will be confident in managing multiple priorities while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and professionalism.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Strong experience in tax planning, with the ability to design strategies that reduce tax exposure while maintaining compliance

  • Solid background in tax compliance and tax preparation, including deadline management and filing accuracy

  • In-depth understanding of tax law, with the ability to interpret and apply legislation effectively

  • Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills

  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively to deadlines

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage confidently with both clients and colleagues

  • Proven leadership capability, including mentoring or guiding junior team members

  • Familiarity with corporate tax practices in the United Kingdom

Professional Qualifications

  • ACA, ACCA, CTA, or an equivalent professional qualification
