Location

This role is based in **Edinburgh or Glasgow**, with access to KPMG’s wider UK network of **20 office locations**.

About the Team

KPMG has one of the leading **Indirect Tax** practices in the UK, with a team of **20 Partners** and around **200 professionals** delivering expert advice across all areas of indirect taxation.

The practice supports clients on issues including:

  • VAT

  • Customs Duty

  • Environmental Taxes

The team works across a wide variety of sectors, including:

  • Large multinational organisations

  • Well-known retail brands

  • Public sector bodies

  • Fast-growing and mid-sized businesses

Within the **National Markets Indirect Tax team**, specialists bring expertise across a number of industries and technical areas, such as:

  • Retail

  • Supply Chain and International Trade

  • Financial Services

  • Public Sector

  • Leisure and Travel

While many team members focus primarily on **VAT**, the wider practice also includes specialists in:

  • Trade and Customs

  • Environmental Tax

What You’ll Be Doing

In this role, you will play an important part in delivering exceptional client service and supporting the continued growth of the Indirect Tax practice.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing high-quality indirect tax advisory services across a range of issues for corporate clients

  • Maintaining, strengthening, and developing client relationships

  • Identifying and developing innovative solutions and opportunities for clients

  • Supporting the delivery of business development initiatives

  • Providing sales support and helping to build strong B2B and B2C relationships

  • Coaching and developing junior team members from both a technical and commercial perspective

  • Working closely with senior managers, directors, and partners on client engagements and career development

Skills and Experience

To be considered for this position, you should have:

  • CTA qualification, and/or

  • Relevant professional experience in Indirect Taxes
