The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Indirect Tax Manager to join our EMEA Shared Service Centre (EMEA SSC) in Frimley, Surrey.
Internally, this position is titled Associate Manager Indirect Tax.
This is an important leadership role within the EMEA Indirect Tax Team, reporting directly to the Head of Indirect Tax, EMEA. You will play a central part in ensuring the team delivers a high-quality, customer-focused indirect tax service across the region, combining strong compliance oversight with practical VAT advisory support.
Please note: international relocation support is not available for this position.

What You’ll Be Doing
As Indirect Tax Manager, you will be responsible for both team leadership and the effective delivery of indirect tax services across multiple EMEA markets.
Key responsibilities include
Leading and developing a team of approximately 5 tax professionals
Providing indirect tax guidance and VAT advisory support on EMEA-wide initiatives such as:
business acquisitions
supply chain changes
operational or structural business changes with indirect tax implications
Managing indirect tax audits across EMEA countries, including occasional overseas travel where in-person attendance is needed
Holding overall accountability for indirect tax compliance reporting in countries supported by the SSC
Ensuring accurate and timely filings are delivered through third-party compliance providers
Overseeing and strengthening relationships with external compliance partners
Driving continuous improvement across VAT compliance processes by:
reviewing internal systems and workflows
identifying opportunities for greater efficiency
recommending procedural and policy enhancements
implementing improvements using Lean tools and methodologies
What You’ll Bring
We are seeking a technically strong and commercially aware tax professional who can balance advisory expertise with operational leadership.
Essential experience
Significant VAT advisory experience in EMEA, ideally 6+ years
Strong knowledge of VAT legislation and its practical application across several EMEA countries
Experience gained in practice or in-house; exposure to both is advantageous, though not essential
A background that goes beyond compliance-only work
Proven ability to lead and manage a multicultural, growing team
Strong working knowledge of:
Excel
PowerPoint
ideally SAP
