Personal Tax Senior/Supervisor

This Personal Tax Senior/Supervisor role is based in London within the Personal Tax department and involves managing a varied portfolio of private clients, including high-net-worth individuals, entrepreneurs, and globally mobile individuals. The position combines hands-on compliance work with ad hoc advisory responsibilities, giving the successful candidate broad exposure to both routine tax matters and more complex personal tax issues. Key responsibilities include requesting tax return information from clients or audit teams, preparing and reviewing complex tax returns using CCH, liaising with HMRC on clients’ behalf, and handling HMRC enquiries. The role also requires monitoring work in progress, raising bills promptly, spotting business development opportunities within the portfolio, and attending client meetings where appropriate. Alongside portfolio management, the role supports consultancy projects involving letter and report writing for a range of audiences, as well as client discussions around advice provided. The successful candidate will also carry out technical research on areas such as the remittance basis, capital gains tax, inheritance tax, and trusts, making this a strong opportunity for someone looking to deepen their advisory expertise. The firm is seeking an ATT or CTA qualified professional with solid personal tax compliance experience, exposure to international personal tax issues such as expatriate and cross-border matters, and strong technical knowledge across the tax cycle. Good communication, time management, and IT skills are essential, while experience with CCH Personal Tax, client-facing work, and a proactive approach to problem-solving would be advantageous.
