About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Private Client Tax Director to join our Private Wealth team. This is an outstanding opportunity for a senior tax professional looking to play a key role in client delivery, portfolio leadership, and the continued growth of a thriving private client practice.

In this role, you will advise clients on a broad range of tax matters while taking responsibility for the day-to-day management of a substantial portfolio. You will also contribute to the strategic development of client relationships, identify opportunities for new work, and support wider business development initiatives.

This position offers the chance to work on a varied and engaging client base while helping shape the future direction of the Private Client team.

Key Responsibilities

As Private Client Tax Director, your responsibilities will include:

• Providing expert tax advice to clients on their private tax affairs

• Managing a large and varied client portfolio on a day-to-day basis

• Overseeing billing processes, delegation of work, and monitoring work in progress

• Ensuring excellent client service delivery across all engagements

• Developing additional work opportunities from existing client relationships

• Supporting business development activity and helping grow the practice

• Leading and mentoring team members, helping to develop talent and maintain high standards

• Working closely with senior leadership to support the strategic growth of the Private Client offering

We are looking for a high-calibre professional with strong technical knowledge and proven experience in client service within a practice environment.

Essential Requirements

• CTA, ACA, or equivalent qualification

• Significant experience working within professional practice

• Strong exposure to the key elements of client management and service delivery

• Ability to manage portfolio responsibilities, including commercial and operational oversight

• Confidence in identifying and converting opportunities for business development
