KPMG is looking for an experienced Corporate Tax Senior Manager to join its expanding Tax Governance & Risk Management team in London. This is an opportunity to take a leading role in a fast-growing, high-profile area of tax, helping clients strengthen governance frameworks, manage evolving risks, and respond confidently to increasing regulatory scrutiny.

Based in KPMG’s CSQ office and working as part of the wider London regional network, you will collaborate with a broad range of specialists while contributing to the growth and direction of a dynamic practice.

The Role

As a Senior Manager, you will play a central role in advising clients, developing people, driving business growth, and supporting the continued expansion of KPMG’s tax governance practice.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide specialist advice on the design and implementation of robust tax governance frameworks

  • Support clients in identifying, assessing, and mitigating global tax risks

  • Design and embed sustainable tax control frameworks aligned with international expectations

  • Advise on tax risk considerations within wider transformation and technology programmes

  • Support compliance with Senior Accounting Officer (SAO) and Corporate Criminal Offence (CCO) requirements

  • Prepare clients for HMRC business risk reviews and manage related interactions

  • Assist with the development, documentation, and publication of tax strategies

  • Guide organisations through tax transparency and sustainability reporting obligations

  • Liaise with HMRC and other stakeholders on governance-related tax matters

  • Work closely with Directors and Partners on business development, proposals, tenders, and client presentations

  • Coach, mentor, and develop junior team members, helping build a strong and high-performing team

  • Contribute to team operations, strategic resourcing, and the continued evolution of KPMG’s service offering

  • Coordinate with UK and international specialists on multidisciplinary advisory projects


What You’ll Bring

KPMG is looking for a commercially minded tax professional with deep technical expertise, strong leadership capability, and a genuine interest in helping clients navigate tax governance challenges.

Skills and experience required

  • Proven success in winning and leading complex tax governance projects

  • A relevant professional qualification such as ACA, CA, CTA, ACCA, or equivalent

  • Strong knowledge of corporate tax and accounting

  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop teams

  • Confidence in managing senior stakeholders and building trusted client relationships

  • Excellent presentation, facilitation, and workshop delivery skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Highly developed analytical ability and strong commercial judgement

  • Ability to identify and progress business development opportunities

  • Experience managing multiple complex projects in a fast-paced environment

  • A proactive, positive, and solutions-focused mindset

  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to ongoing technical development
