Corporate Tax Assistant Manager

S&W is hiring a Corporate Tax Assistant Manager in its Newcastle office to join the Corporate Tax Advisory team, supporting a broad portfolio of business clients with both tax advisory and compliance work. The role sits in a supportive, close-knit team with a strong compliance focus, and offers progression opportunities as the team continues to grow. The position is city-centre based and may offer flexibility for part-time working. The successful candidate will manage relationships with clients and key stakeholders, oversee a portfolio of more complex corporate tax matters, and handle work spanning both compliance and advisory responsibilities. They will also take responsibility for managing and developing junior staff, including mentoring and carrying out performance appraisals, while ensuring compliance processes are followed in line with professional institute standards and HMRC guidance. S&W is looking for someone with substantial corporate tax experience gained in professional services, with proven ability to advise clients on complex tax issues. Applicants should also be confident managing and coaching others, and have an interest in developing business development skills. Relevant professional qualifications are required, such as ACA, ACCA, CA and/or CTA, or an international equivalent.
