About the Role
Corporate Tax Compliance & Reporting Lead – UKI OU

PepsiCo is seeking a highly capable and detail-oriented professional to lead the UKI OU Corporate Tax compliance and reporting agenda. This is a pivotal role with responsibility for ensuring all tax returns, reporting, and payments are completed accurately, on time, and in full compliance with regulatory requirements across the UK and Ireland.
Given the significant financial impact of tax within the UKI business, this position plays a critical role in safeguarding compliance, supporting financial accuracy, and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders. In addition to leading corporate tax activities, the successful candidate will also provide support and back-up for essential VAT and customs compliance processes.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
Corporate Tax Compliance & Reporting
You will take ownership of the UK and Ireland corporate tax compliance agenda, ensuring all obligations are met with precision and within statutory deadlines.
Lead and review the preparation and submission of accurate UK and Ireland tax returns, including:
Corporation Tax
PAYE
STBV
PSA
Other applicable returns
Ensure all relevant tax payments are made accurately and on time, including Corporation Tax, PAYE, and related liabilities
Deliver timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual tax reporting under US GAAP, including FAS109
Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting to US Corporate and Sector Control
Lead the preparation and review of tax disclosures and notes for statutory financial statements
Prepare deferred tax calculations, including the Deferred Tax Study, ensuring full accuracy and completeness
Support quarterly tax budgeting and forecasting, including analysis of tax expense
Regulatory Oversight & Stakeholder Management
This role requires a strong understanding of the evolving tax environment and the ability to work confidently with internal and external stakeholders.
Monitor and manage new UK tax regulatory developments
Act as a key point of contact for HMRC communications
Work closely with Transfer Pricing and Corporate Tax teams, including support for:
Transfer Pricing studies
APA processes
ABA processes
Partner effectively with auditors, both external and internal, on tax-related matters
Controls, Governance & Process Excellence
You will be expected to maintain a strong control environment, ensuring tax processes are robust, compliant, and continuously improved.
Own and maintain relevant SOX and GCS controls
Ensure controls are operating effectively and compliance standards are consistently met
Drive a mindset of automation, simplification, and process improvement across tax activities
VAT & Customs Back-Up Support
In addition to your corporate tax remit, you will provide support and contingency cover for key VAT and customs activities.
Provide back-up support for the preparation and submission of UK&I VAT returns
Offer practical guidance to the business on VAT rates, based on agreed frameworks
Assist with ongoing VAT and Customs enquiries or HMRC audits
What We’re Looking For
Qualifications & Experience
We’re looking for a technically strong and commercially aware tax professional with a solid accounting foundation and proven experience in corporate tax compliance.
ACA or equivalent professional qualification
Strong accounting background
5+ years of relevant experience in UK Corporate Tax compliance
Experience gained within Big 4 or a comparable industry environment is preferred
Knowledge of US tax reporting is advantageous
Good working knowledge of SAP and HFM
Experience working with auditors, both internal and external
Proven experience dealing with HMRC
