About the Role

Tax Manager, UK Tax Team

Join CFGI and help shape the future of UK tax advisory

Corporate Finance Group, Inc. (“CFGI”) is a leading professional services firm founded in 2000 by former Big 4 professionals. Built on deep technical expertise and a practical, client-focused approach, CFGI supports organisations in navigating today’s increasingly complex accounting, reporting, compliance, finance, and tax environment.

Our team brings together high-calibre professionals with extensive public accounting experience, enabling us to support clients across a broad range of industries and business scenarios. Because we operate independently of audit restrictions, we are able to offer agile, tailored solutions to meet each client’s needs.

At CFGI, we combine integrity, flexibility, technical excellence, and innovative thinking to solve critical accounting, tax, finance, and operational challenges. Our clients include globally recognised public companies, privately owned businesses, and venture-backed emerging organisations.

We are also proud of our culture: one that values continuous learning, collaboration, entrepreneurial thinking, and professional excellence.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a highly motivated Tax Manager to join our growing UK Tax Team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is ambitious, commercially minded, and eager to challenge convention within the UK tax services market.

In this role, you will work across the full spectrum of UK corporate tax, including:

  • Tax reporting

  • Corporation tax compliance

  • Tax governance

  • Advisory services

You will work closely with a diverse portfolio of clients while collaborating directly with senior members of the UK tax team. This position offers genuine exposure, autonomy, and the chance to play a meaningful role in the expansion of CFGI’s UK practice.

What You’ll Be Doing

1. Delivering Exceptional Client Service

Tax Reporting

You will support and lead the delivery of UK tax reporting services for a varied client base, including:

  • UK publicly listed companies

  • US-headquartered multinational groups, including US-listed businesses

Your work may include:

  • Preparing UK entity-only tax provisions under IFRS or UK GAAP

  • Preparing UK group tax reporting numbers

  • Incorporating tax numbers for non-UK subsidiaries

  • Preparing and reviewing consolidation adjustments

  • Advising clients on tax reporting processes and controls

  • Supporting GAAP conversion projects

  • Advising on the tax implications of IPO readiness and related reporting requirements

UK Corporation Tax Compliance

You will be involved in the preparation and submission of UK corporation tax returns, taking ownership of the day-to-day compliance process and maintaining strong client relationships throughout.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Leading client interactions to gather necessary compliance information

  • Managing the preparation and timely filing of tax returns

  • Ensuring delivery is high quality, efficient, and cost-effective

  • Applying judgment and autonomy within an established compliance framework

Tax Governance

You will contribute to CFGI’s tax governance offering, helping clients strengthen their approach to tax strategy, risk management, and internal controls.

This may involve advising on:

  • Tax strategy frameworks

  • Risk identification and mitigation

  • Governance structures

  • Control environments and process improvements

Tax Advisory

You will also support a broad range of advisory engagements, including both recurring and ad hoc tax matters.

Typical advisory work may include:

  • Corporate tax advice arising from compliance engagements

  • Loss planning and utilisation

  • Tax implications of trade and asset transfers

  • Interest deductibility

  • Cash tax modelling

  • Group simplification projects

  • Tax due diligence on transactions

  • Tax structuring for client deals and reorganisations

2. Supporting Business Growth

As CFGI continues to expand rapidly in the UK, this role offers strong exposure to business development and practice-building initiatives.

You will have the opportunity to contribute to:

  • Identifying tax opportunities across new and existing clients

  • Assisting with proposal drafting, client meetings, and pitches

  • Partnering with colleagues across CFGI’s UK and US service lines to develop cross-functional opportunities

  • Collaborating with the US Tax Team to identify and support UK tax requirements for US-based clients

  • Spotting and developing additional revenue opportunities within existing engagements
