About the Role

Corporate Tax Senior

Kreston Reeves | Tax Department
Location: Kent — Chatham or Canterbury
Contract: Permanent, Full Time
Working Pattern: Hybrid working model — 3 days in the office, 2 days from home

We are seeking a talented and motivated Corporate Tax Senior to join Kreston Reeves in Kent. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a highly regarded corporate tax team, working from either Chatham or Canterbury within a flexible hybrid model.

You will join a collaborative corporate tax team of 25 professionals, forming part of a wider tax function of nearly 100 specialists. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys delivering high-quality compliance work, building strong client relationships, and contributing to advisory projects while developing towards the next stage of their career.

Why Join Kreston Reeves?

At Kreston Reeves, you will be part of a supportive and forward-thinking firm where your expertise is valued, your development is encouraged, and your progression is clearly mapped. This role offers the chance to strengthen your technical knowledge, broaden your experience, and work closely with Managers and Partners on both compliance and advisory matters.

The Opportunity

As a Corporate Tax Senior, you will take ownership of a varied portfolio of corporate tax work, ensuring that assignments are completed accurately, on time, within budget, and to a high technical standard.

You will also play an important role in supporting advisory projects, helping to resolve more complex tax and commercial matters, and acting as a trusted point of contact for clients, colleagues, and HMRC on day-to-day issues.

This position is particularly well suited to someone who is ready to take on greater responsibility, supervise junior team members, and work towards progression into an Assistant Manager role over time.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for a combination of compliance delivery, client management, team support, and process improvement.

Your core duties will include:

  • Preparing and delivering high-quality corporate tax compliance work across a varied client portfolio

  • Ensuring all work is completed with technical accuracy and in line with deadlines and budgets

  • Managing your own portfolio of assignments effectively, including planning workloads and identifying when issues should be escalated

  • Acting as a key contact for clients, internal teams, and HMRC on routine tax matters

  • Drafting clear, professional communications and responding promptly to client queries

  • Supporting advisory work by identifying opportunities, drafting advice, and participating in client calls

  • Assisting with workflow management and helping to improve internal processes

  • Supervising and supporting Corporate Tax Semi Seniors and Assistants

  • Working closely with Managers and Partners on more technical and complex matters

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for an organised, proactive, and confident tax professional who can manage their own workload while contributing positively to the wider team.

You will ideally have:

  • ATT qualification

  • Strong experience in corporate tax compliance

  • Exposure to complex group structures

  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines

  • A proactive approach with a strong sense of ownership and accountability

  • Confidence in communicating with clients and internal stakeholders

  • Experience supervising junior team members, although this is beneficial rather than essential

For candidates looking to continue their professional development, there is also an **opportunity for CTA study support**.

What You Can Expect from the Role

This role offers a broad and rewarding mix of technical tax work, client interaction, and people development. You will have the autonomy to manage your own workload while being supported by an experienced team and exposed to more complex advisory projects.

You will also benefit from a clear progression pathway, making this an excellent move for someone looking to build their long-term career within corporate tax.
