Director, Tax

Confluence’s Director – Tax is a senior leadership role reporting to the CFO and responsible for global tax reporting, compliance, and strategic tax planning across a complex multi-jurisdictional business. The position oversees tax returns, transfer pricing, tax audits, and legal entity rationalisation work, while partnering closely with finance, legal, and external advisors. It also supports major corporate activity including acquisitions, dispositions, and broader business transformation initiatives. The role is designed for an experienced international tax professional with strong technical accounting knowledge spanning IFRS, US GAAP, statutory GAAP, transfer pricing, purchase price accounting, and business combinations. Candidates are expected to have substantial experience managing tax matters across countries, leading audit responses, coordinating outside advisors, and driving strategic change in a fast-paced environment. A degree in accounting or a related field with tax specialism and a CPA or equivalent qualification are required, along with at least 10 years of progressive experience including management responsibility.
