About the Role
This 12-month International Tax Associate role sits within EBRD’s OCCO Domiciliation (Tax) Team in London and focuses on supporting tax due diligence for cross-border structures used by EBRD clients. The role centres on assessing compliance with the EBRD Domiciliation Policy and international tax standards, particularly around tax transparency and base erosion and profit shifting.
The Associate will review due diligence findings from banking teams, provide technical guidance on international tax issues, assess project documentation for tax accuracy, and prepare briefings that highlight key tax risks and mitigants. The position also involves monitoring developments in international tax policy, including OECD and Global Forum initiatives, and contributing to improvements in internal procedures, guidance notes, and staff training.
A further part of the role is operational and data-focused. The Associate helps maintain the Domiciliation Team’s databases, supports reporting and dashboard creation, tracks KPIs and milestones, and contributes to digital transformation initiatives within the team and OCCO more broadly.
Candidates should have a degree in law, accounting, banking, finance, or similar relevant experience, with strong international tax expertise gained in an accounting firm, law firm, financial institution, government body, or comparable organisation. EBRD is looking for someone with sound judgement, professionalism, strong communication skills, and an understanding of the Bank’s mission, offering a diverse, inclusive, and flexible working environment with competitive benefits.
