About the Role
Deblock is building what it describes as the first onchain bank: a simple, non-custodial financial product designed to make crypto usable in everyday life. For this role, the company wants a mid-level Product Owner to lead the development of its Tax Product, owning the experience from discovery through launch and acting as the key link between tax law, product design, and engineering execution.
The role is aimed at someone with a legal and product hybrid profile. Deblock is looking for a qualified French corporate or tax lawyer with roughly 3–5 years of experience, ideally with a background in a top law firm or Big 4 tax team and subsequent exposure to product or tech environments. The successful candidate should be comfortable writing specifications, prioritising work, running product processes, and turning legal complexity into practical features.
A major focus of the position is French and EU crypto tax regulation. The Product Owner will shape tools covering transaction categorisation, capital gains calculations, and tax-ready reporting such as Cerfa 2086, while continuously tracking developments such as DAC8 and MiCA-related implications. They will also work closely with engineering, design, legal, and compliance teams to ensure the product is both legally robust and easy for users to understand.
The position also includes user research, beta testing, and evaluating strategic partnerships with tax-filing platforms, accounting software providers, and tax advisers. Deblock highlights flexible working arrangements, stock options, private health and dental insurance, 30 days of annual leave excluding bank holidays, strong remote-working flexibility, and the option to work abroad for part of the year.
