Product Owner - Tax product

Deblock is hiring a Mid Product Owner to lead development of its Tax Product, a crypto-tax solution designed to make compliance simple and intuitive for users of its onchain banking platform. Reporting to the founders and Head of Product, the role sits at the intersection of law, tax, and product, translating complex French and EU digital-asset tax rules into practical product features. The company is looking for a qualified French corporate or tax lawyer with around three to five years of experience, ideally gained in a top-tier law firm, Big 4 tax practice, or a tech-oriented legal/product environment. Candidates should also have hands-on product delivery experience, including writing specifications, prioritising backlogs, running sprints, and shipping features. Deep familiarity with French crypto tax rules and awareness of the broader EU regulatory landscape, including DAC8 and MiCA, are central to the role. The Product Owner will own the roadmap from discovery through delivery, covering areas such as transaction categorisation, capital gains calculations, and tax-ready reporting such as Cerfa 2086. They will work closely with engineering, design, legal, and compliance teams to turn legal requirements into clear build specifications, while also conducting user research, beta testing, and iterative improvements to ensure the experience is both accurate and easy to use. The role also includes monitoring regulatory change and exploring strategic partnerships with tax-filing platforms, accounting software providers, and tax advisers.
