Join Coca-Cola HBC as a Regional Tax Analyst and play a pivotal role in supporting tax reporting, compliance, and risk management across multiple jurisdictions. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the accuracy and integrity of Group financial reporting while partnering with Finance teams, local markets, auditors, and external advisers across a dynamic international business.
In this role, you will help drive high-quality tax reporting, support Effective Tax Rate (ETR) forecasting, strengthen governance frameworks, and contribute to the continuous improvement of tax processes and controls across the region.
What You’ll Be Doing
Group Tax Reporting & Financial Close
You will support the delivery of robust and accurate tax reporting throughout the financial close cycle, working closely with internal and external stakeholders.
Coordinate interim and year-end Group tax reporting processes
Partner with Finance teams, auditors, and advisers to ensure timely and accurate reporting
Build strong relationships with business and finance stakeholders to support smooth reporting cycles
Act as a key contact for Group Tax on reporting-related matters
Collaborate closely with the Group Financial Reporting team
Support ETR forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis against prior periods and plans
Review and assist with statutory tax disclosures and financial statement notes
Governance, Controls & Documentation
You will contribute to the strength of the Group’s tax control environment by supporting documentation, testing, and audit readiness.
Assist in the design and operation of tax accounting controls within internal control frameworks
Prepare and maintain documentation required for internal and external audits, including:
Tax provision workpapers
Deferred tax support schedules
Uncertain Tax Position (UTP) analyses
Support Tax Control Framework (TCF) documentation and testing activities
Contribute to the implementation of new tax accounting and reporting requirements, including initiatives such as Pillar Two
Lead and maintain technical tax accounting knowledge for Group Reporting, particularly under IAS 12
Tax Risk, Audits & Provisions
You will help monitor tax risks across the region and ensure that audits, disputes, and provisions are properly assessed and reflected in reporting.
Track regional tax audits, disputes, and exposure areas
Support the assessment and documentation of tax risks and provisions
Assist with the preparation of UTP analyses in coordination with Group Tax
Ensure tax reporting and provisions appropriately reflect audit outcomes
Regional Coordination & Governance
You will serve as an important link between local markets and Group Tax, helping to maintain consistency in policy application and compliance oversight.
Act as the regional point of contact between local markets and Group Tax
Promote consistent application of Group tax policies, internal guidelines, and the tax control framework
Support oversight of the Group’s tax compliance programme, including review of jurisdictional filings
Data, Systems & Process Improvement
You will support the enhancement of tax processes through better systems, improved data quality, and more efficient reporting tools.
Contribute to process improvements in tax reporting, including standardisation and automation
Support data quality enhancements across reporting activities
Work with Finance and IT on ERP and reporting systems, including SAP
Assist with adoption of tax technology tools
Prepare tax reporting packs, dashboards, and management presentations
Additional Project Support
This role also offers exposure to a broad range of tax projects and business initiatives across the Group.
Support the Head of Tax on projects as they arise
Assist other members of the Group Tax team with ad hoc queries, projects, and transactions as needed
What Will Help You Succeed
Essential Requirements
We are looking for a tax professional with strong technical capabilities, commercial awareness, and the ability to work effectively across a complex international environment.
Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) or equivalent tax qualification (CTA or similar)
6+ years of relevant tax experience
Background in a Big 4 audit/tax advisory firm and/or within the tax function of a multinational organisation
Fluent English, both written and spoken
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Proven ability to partner effectively with non-tax stakeholders across cross-functional teams
Ability to anticipate business needs and provide practical, solutions-focused tax support
Preferred Experience
The following experience would be highly advantageous in this position:
Strong knowledge of tax accounting and reporting standards, especially IAS 12
Solid understanding of corporate income tax and deferred tax mechanics
Experience using tax provision tools or advanced Excel-based provision models
Confidence analysing ETR drivers and explaining variances to senior stakeholders
Previous experience working with ERP systems, particularly SAP
