About the Role

This opportunity is for a Senior Associate in RPC’s transactional tax team, which sits within the firm’s wider corporate practice and advises on a broad range of tax issues arising on M&A, reorganisations, real estate transactions, employee incentives, and warranty and indemnity matters. The team supports both corporate and individual clients and works closely with colleagues across corporate, banking, employment and disputes, often on complex, high-profile and cross-border matters. RPC is particularly active in sectors including consumer, brands and retail, technology, media and entertainment, and insurance and financial services.

The role is aimed at a lawyer with 6+ years’ post-qualified experience in transactional tax. The successful candidate will handle a varied workload including negotiating tax warranties and indemnities, advising on restructurings and management equity arrangements, preparing tax clearances and technical advice notes, and supporting real estate and W&I-related tax work. There is also scope to build a specialist profile in tax insurance and share incentives.

RPC is looking for someone who combines strong technical tax expertise with commercial judgement and a collaborative approach. Candidates should be confident managing client relationships, contributing to business development, pricing and resourcing matters effectively, and helping to coach junior colleagues. The firm is seeking someone who can work autonomously while also supporting the continued growth of the practice.

The advert also highlights RPC’s inclusive culture and commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging. The firm aims to remove barriers to equal access, offers support and adjustments during recruitment and employment, and promotes flexible and hybrid working where possible.
