About the Role
Brambles is hiring a Senior Director, European Tax in Weybridge on a full-time, permanent hybrid basis. The role is a senior regional leadership position with responsibility for the company’s European tax strategy across 30 countries. It covers corporate tax, indirect tax, transfer pricing, tax planning, risk management, and reporting, with significant influence across finance and operations.
The successful candidate will lead and develop a large and diverse tax team while acting as the main point of contact with UK tax authorities. A major part of the role is partnering with senior internal stakeholders to support business decisions, ensure compliance, optimise tax outcomes, and manage relationships with tax authorities across a complex international environment.
Brambles is looking for an experienced tax leader from a large global organisation, ideally in supply chain, FMCG, retail, or a similar sector. Strong VAT expertise is essential, along with broad technical tax capability, excellent stakeholder management skills, and the ability to explain complex issues clearly to non-specialists. Big 4 training or experience is expected, and a tax qualification is required, with an accounting qualification viewed positively.
The package includes annual bonus and shares, a car allowance, private family healthcare, 25 days’ holiday plus statutory holidays with the option to buy or sell five additional days, up to 15% company pension, and life assurance at four times salary.
