In this role, you will take ownership of your own client portfolio, guiding businesses through the financial aspects of their tax credit claims while working closely with technical consultants to prepare robust submissions for HMRC.

About the Role

As a Senior Tax Consultant, you will be responsible for managing client engagements across the R&D Tax space, providing financial insight, building trusted relationships, and ensuring claims are prepared to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of clients with autonomy and accountability

• Prepare and support the financial elements of R&D Tax Credit claims

• Collaborate with technical consultants to produce high-quality submissions to HMRC

• Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers

• Provide expert guidance on tax credit claims and related financial matters

• Monitor industry trends and legislative developments to ensure clients receive up-to-date advice

Experience & Qualifications

Essential / Preferred Background

• 2+ years’ experience in a client-facing role, ideally within a consulting environment

• Experience in UK Corporation Tax

• Ideally, exposure to R&D Tax

Qualifications

Relevant accounting or tax qualifications are welcomed but are not essential. Examples include:

• Accounting & Finance BSc

• ACA

• ACCA

• ATT

• CTA
