Statutory & Tax Reporting Specialist – EMEA

Avient Corporation is seeking a finance professional to join its EMEA team in a role focused on statutory financial reporting and tax compliance. Reporting to the Statutory EMEA Senior Finance Manager, this position plays a key role in supporting reporting accuracy, coordinating regional tax processes, and helping ensure compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
The Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented and collaborative finance professional who enjoys working at the intersection of statutory reporting, corporate taxation, and regional compliance. You will work closely with internal teams and external providers to support reporting obligations across the EMEA region, while contributing to high-quality financial and tax governance.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will contribute to a broad range of statutory and tax-related activities across EMEA, including:
Supporting the Statutory Team with the preparation, review, and coordination of local tax provisions
Assisting external providers in the preparation of corporate income tax returns across EMEA
Helping manage local tax filing requirements, including obligations such as:
VAT
Withholding tax
Other local compliance filings
Coordinating and participating in CIT calculations within selected EMEA jurisdictions
Reviewing transfer pricing documentation to ensure consistency with:
statutory financial statements
tax reporting positions
Providing support during tax audits in partnership with the Tax team
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for a candidate with a strong technical foundation, regional tax awareness, and the ability to work effectively across teams and projects.
Required Qualifications
Certification in accounting, tax, and/or law
3+ years of experience in:
statutory reporting
tax reporting
or a similar finance-related role in either corporate or advisory environments
Solid working knowledge of Local GAAP in at least one EMEA jurisdiction
Understanding of deferred tax
Understanding of European tax rules relevant to reporting and compliance
A collaborative mindset with the ability to lead and manage projects
Familiarity with SAP and OneSource
