Are you an experienced equity incentives specialist ready to step into a senior leadership role with a growing, highly respected firm? Bishop Fleming is looking for an ambitious Tax Director – Equity Incentives & Share Reward to help shape and expand our specialist offering, while delivering outstanding advice to a varied and impressive client base.

This is a standout opportunity to join an expanding tax team and take a leading role in developing our share reward and equity incentives services. You will work with entrepreneurial owner-managed businesses, high-growth companies, and established corporates on complex, commercially focused matters.

As part of the senior leadership team, you will influence strategy, drive business growth, strengthen client relationships, and lead the continued development of our people and technical capability.


The Opportunity

In this role, you will work closely with the Senior Management Team, Tax Partners, and fellow Directors to enhance and grow Bishop Fleming’s equity incentives capability both locally and nationally.

You will be instrumental in:

  • Expanding the firm’s equity incentives and share reward service line

  • Advising clients on high-value, technically complex tax matters

  • Building long-term, trusted client relationships

  • Leading and developing talented tax professionals

  • Contributing to the strategic direction and commercial success of the firm


What You’ll Be Doing

As Tax Director – Equity Incentives & Share Reward, your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the design, structuring, and implementation of approved and unapproved share schemes, including:

  • Enterprise Management Incentives (EMI)

  • Company Share Option Plans (CSOP)

  • Growth shares

  • Bespoke equity arrangements

  • Advising clients on equity tax matters arising from:

  • Acquisitions

  • Disposals

  • Reorganisations

  • Overseeing and signing off share reward tax due diligence work

  • Managing a diverse client portfolio and acting as a trusted adviser on strategic and technical issues

  • Working collaboratively with senior leadership to develop and grow the equity incentives offering

  • Leading, coaching, and mentoring senior managers, managers, and trainees across the tax team

  • Driving business development activity, identifying new opportunities, and maintaining strong market networks


What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a commercially aware and technically strong leader who is excited by the opportunity to make a visible impact.

You will ideally bring:

  • An appropriate professional qualification

  • Strong experience within an equity incentives / share reward tax environment

  • Experience advising on transactions or complex advisory projects (desirable, but not essential)

  • Proven ability as a people leader and coach, with a passion for developing others

  • A commercial mindset and genuine enthusiasm for business development

  • The drive, ambition, and leadership capability to contribute to Bishop Fleming’s continued growth and success
