Bishop Fleming is seeking an accomplished and commercially minded Tax Director – Equity Incentives & Share Reward to join its growing tax leadership team. This is a standout opportunity for an experienced specialist to step into a senior strategic role and help shape the future of a developing and high-value service line.

In this position, you will work with a broad portfolio of clients, from entrepreneurial owner-managed businesses and fast-growing companies to established corporates, advising on sophisticated equity reward matters that support business growth, talent retention and transaction readiness.

The Opportunity

As a senior leader within the tax team, you will play a central role in advancing Bishop Fleming’s equity incentives and share reward offering. You will work closely with Tax Partners, Directors and the wider Senior Management Team to expand capability, strengthen market presence and deliver exceptional client outcomes.

This role goes beyond technical delivery. You will also be instrumental in developing people, winning work, nurturing client relationships and contributing to the strategic direction of the firm’s specialist tax services.


What You’ll Be Doing

You will lead on a wide range of client and leadership responsibilities, including:

  • Designing and implementing share schemes, including:

  • Enterprise Management Incentives (EMI)

  • Company Share Option Plans (CSOP)

  • Growth shares

  • Unapproved and bespoke reward arrangements

  • Advising on equity tax matters linked to:

  • Acquisitions

  • Disposals

  • Reorganisations

  • Share reward tax due diligence, including review and sign-off

  • Acting as a trusted adviser to a diverse portfolio of clients, building strong and long-lasting relationships

  • Driving the growth of the equity incentives service line, both regionally and nationally

  • Leading, mentoring and developing team members across senior manager, manager and trainee levels

  • Supporting business development activity, including building networks, identifying opportunities and strengthening the firm’s presence in the market


What We’re Looking For

We are looking for a confident and experienced professional who brings both specialist technical knowledge and the leadership skills to help grow a successful advisory offering.

You will ideally have:

  • Relevant professional qualifications

  • Strong experience within an equity incentives and/or share reward tax environment

  • Experience advising on transactions or more complex advisory work

  • This is desirable, but not essential

  • A proven ability to lead, coach and develop others

  • A commercial mindset with enthusiasm for business development and relationship-building

  • The ambition and drive to contribute to the continued success and expansion of Bishop Fleming
