We are seeking an ambitious and experienced Tax Director – Equity Incentives & Share Reward to join our growing tax team. This is a senior leadership opportunity for a specialist who wants to make a real impact by shaping and expanding our equity incentives offering within a highly respected and award-winning firm.

In this role, you will work with a broad and high-calibre client base, supporting businesses of all sizes on complex and commercially focused share reward matters. You will also play an instrumental role in leading people, strengthening client relationships, and driving the future growth of this specialist service line.


The Opportunity

This position offers the chance to take ownership of a key area within our tax practice, with influence at both a local and national level. You will collaborate closely with the Senior Management Team, Tax Partners, and fellow Directors to grow our client portfolio, develop our internal capability, and enhance our market presence in equity incentives and share reward advisory.

You will advise a diverse range of clients, from entrepreneurial owner-managed businesses and fast-growth companies to larger established corporates, helping them navigate a variety of sophisticated equity reward challenges.


What You’ll Be Doing

As Tax Director – Equity Incentives & Share Reward, your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the design, structuring, and implementation of approved and unapproved share schemes

  • Advising on arrangements including:

  • Enterprise Management Incentives (EMI)

  • Company Share Option Plans (CSOP)

  • Growth shares

  • Bespoke equity structures

  • Providing expert advice on equity tax matters linked to:

  • Acquisitions

  • Disposals

  • Reorganisations

  • Overseeing and signing off share reward tax due diligence assignments

  • Building trusted relationships with a varied portfolio of clients and acting as a key adviser

  • Working with senior leadership to develop and expand the equity incentives service line across regional and national markets

  • Leading, coaching, and developing senior managers, managers, and trainees within the tax team

  • Driving business development activity, strengthening networks, and identifying opportunities for growth


What We’re Looking For

We are looking for a strong technical specialist and inspiring leader who can help take this area of our business to the next level.

You should ideally have:

  • An appropriate professional qualification

  • Strong experience within an equity incentives or share reward tax environment

  • Experience advising on transactions or complex advisory work (desirable, but not essential)

  • A proven ability to lead, coach, and develop people

  • A commercial mindset with a genuine interest in business development and client growth

  • The ambition and drive to contribute to the continued success and expansion of Bishop Fleming
