Bishop Fleming Chartered Accountants
Bishop Fleming is seeking an ambitious and experienced Tax Director – Equity Incentives & Share Reward to join its growing tax team. This is a senior leadership opportunity for a specialist who wants to make a real impact in a highly respected and expanding firm.
In this role, you will help shape and grow our equity incentives and share reward offering, working with a broad and high-calibre client base. You will advise on complex, commercially focused matters while also contributing to the strategic direction, client growth, and people development of the wider business.
The Opportunity
This position offers the chance to take a leading role in a well-established and ambitious firm, advising clients that range from entrepreneurial owner-managed businesses and high-growth companies through to established corporates.
As part of the senior leadership team, you will work closely with the Senior Management Team, Tax Partners, and fellow Directors to expand our equity incentives capability, strengthen client relationships, and develop talented people across the tax team.
What You’ll Be Doing
As Tax Director – Equity Incentives & Share Reward, your responsibilities will include:
Leading the design, structuring, and implementation of approved and unapproved share schemes, including:
Enterprise Management Incentives (EMI)
Company Share Option Plans (CSOP)
Growth shares
Bespoke share-based arrangements
Advising clients on equity tax matters arising from:
Acquisitions
Disposals
Reorganisations
Overseeing and signing off share reward tax due diligence work
Building trusted relationships with a diverse client portfolio and acting as a key adviser
Working with senior leadership to grow the equity incentives service line on both a local and national basis
Leading, coaching, and developing senior managers, managers, and trainees within the tax team
Driving business development, building strong networks, and identifying opportunities for growth in the market
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for a commercially minded and people-focused professional who brings both technical strength and leadership capability.
You will ideally have:
Appropriate professional qualifications
Strong experience within an equity incentives or share reward tax environment
Experience advising on transactions or complex advisory projects (desirable, but not essential)
A proven ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams
A genuine interest in business development and growing client relationships
