Curtiss-Wright Corporation is seeking a UK Tax Specialist to join our United Kingdom team. This is an excellent opportunity for a tax professional who enjoys working across compliance, reporting, and advisory matters while contributing to a collaborative and high-performing finance function.
In this role, you will take ownership of UK corporate income tax return preparation across multiple UK entities, while also supporting RDEC claims, responding to tax-related business queries, and assisting with UK tax audits. The position reports to the Senior Tax Director and works closely under the guidance of the International Tax Manager, who oversees UK compliance.

The Opportunity
As the UK Tax Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely UK tax compliance across the group. You will work on a diverse range of tax matters, supporting both routine reporting requirements and broader business needs.
Key Responsibilities
Corporate Tax Compliance
Prepare UK corporate income tax returns for multiple UK companies.
Assist with return-to-accrual reconciliations and group payment processes.
Support income tax computations for UK statutory reporting.
Contribute to quarterly and year-end tax accounting for UK entities under US GAAP.
RDEC and Transfer Pricing Support
Assist with the annual Research and Development Expenditure Credit (RDEC) process.
Support the Transfer Pricing reporting requirements for UK entities.
Tax Reporting and Reconciliations
Review periodic corporate tax account reconciliations.
Review VAT account reconciliations and support other miscellaneous tax compliance activities.
Ad Hoc and Technical Tax Support
Prepare the Corporate Interest Restriction Return (CIR).
Perform interest deductibility calculations.
Research and respond to VAT and other tax-related queries from the business.
Monitor and stay informed of proposed HMRC tax legislation, helping assess the potential impact on the UK group, customers, and employees.
Audit Support
Assist in supporting HMRC income tax audits.
Provide support for VAT audits and related information requests.

Essential Skills & Experience
Experience using UK tax return software
4–6 years of relevant professional experience
CIOT qualified
Strong working knowledge of Excel
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
